<subfield code="a">The Coin Abacus makes counting various combinations of coins and dollar bills simple for students of all ages. Students use their fingers to slide the realistic coins and bills from left to right. When each coin or bill reaches the right side, the Coin Abacus displays the new total on the easy-to-read LCD screen on the right. When a coin or bill is moved back to the left, the amount is subtracted from the total. Students see how different coin combinations can equal the same amount of money. The Coin Abacus Worksheets were developed by PCI's Janie Haugen-McLane to be used with the electronic Coin Abacus. These 100 reproducible, easy-to-follow worksheets were designed for students who need extra help in learning to count coins and dollar bills. Students count the money amounts on the worksheets by sliding the realistic plastic coins and bills on the Coin Abacus from left to right to match the bills and coins on the worksheets. Students write the answers in an LCD-like box above each math problem. Skills covered include: coin counting, bill and coin counting, pocket money counting, and pocket money subtracting.</subfield>
